Project InnerSpace is an ongoing creative study that unfolds through the production of a growing collection of digital artworks. Each piece is created, released, and minted as the study progresses, allowing the collection to evolve organically over time rather than appearing as a finished, closed body of work.
At its core, InnerSpace is driven by a clear intention: to reaffirm the value of human creativity in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. As AI-generated imagery becomes faster, cheaper, and more ubiquitous, this project stands as a counterpoint—an insistence that human presence, intention, imperfection, and lived experience remain irreplaceable elements of meaningful art.
Project InnerSpace consists of three inseparable parts:
- a long-term creative study,
- its outcome—a collection of digital artworks and their accompanying stories,
- and the practical work required to present, sustain, and share the project with the world.
The foundation of InnerSpace lies in more than thirty years of continuous exploration of creativity. Over the decades, these studies have produced visual concepts, artworks, notes, and narrative fragments. Rather than being archived or abandoned, these materials are reactivated within InnerSpace, serving as elements, motifs, structures, and conceptual building blocks for each new work.
The full background of InnerSpace will gradually reveal itself through the stories embedded in the collection. The short version is this: for more than three decades, I worked with digital graphics, believing that one day—when I was ready—I would finally present what I had learned. When that moment arrived, the landscape had changed. Techniques that once required weeks of focused labor could now be replicated or surpassed in seconds by an AI prompt.
Faced with this realization, there were two possible responses: to give up, or to continue—fully aware of the challenges, competition, and contradictions of the present moment.
I chose the second option.
InnerSpace exists because of that choice.
