L-Ink – The Anatomy of a Vector
View on DeviantArt | Product Page
L-Ink is a pastiche of precision drawing. Based on one of my earliest icon doodles from 1993, this image pretends to be a technical drawing, complete with nodes, measurements, and alignment guides. But it’s not a blueprint—it’s a visual essay on the nature of vector art. The image highlights the deliberation and calculation behind digital drawing, even if the values are purely aesthetic. It’s a formal pastiche, emphasizing structure without substance, and yet it carries high artistic value. It is also in fact a pastiche of pastiche, featuring the essence of what the pastiche does: featuring. This piece is a tribute to the process itself, to the invisible logic behind every curve and click.
