Featuring the anatomy of clipart

This 1994 piece is one of my oldest intentional pastiches in digital art, designed to pretend to be highlighting the anatomy of digital clipart. It doesn’t depict a fish—it depicts the idea of a fish as a clipart object, complete with textures and assembly logic. The image playfully suggests how such graphics are “served” in digital editing, without irony or caricature. It’s a visual essay on the nature of digital representation, where every shape and fill is a deliberate choice. The title itself is a linguistic twist, echoing the playful spirit of the work. This Pastiche In The Diche is not a fish—it’s a conceptual dissection of digital art.
