Within SDL InnerSpace, white is light, movement, energy, emission. It is matter transformed into motion. White is surface, shell, and opacity—the ultimate reflecting and protecting layer. It prevents premature access to depth. It preserves mass from being consumed too early.
White represents either the absence of color or the union of all colors. Symbolically, it represents innocence, origin, and the unclouded state of primordial existence—or the purified goal of its restoration. Across cultures, white garments signify purity, truth, and sacred function.
Yet white also carries darker meanings. Its pallor mirrors death. In dreams, a white horse often heralds mortality. Ghosts appear as white figures—negative shadows, inversions of presence.
In InnerSpace alchemy, albedo follows nigredo. Whitening signals that matter has survived dissolution and is stabilizing into form. It is not really purity but readiness. Not really truth, but interface.
