I sit on the kitchen couch and call his name: “Leo, we need to talk.” He turns, and the look he gives me could cut glass. In Swedish we say, “Om blickar kunde döda…” — if looks could kill. This is not the gaze of a cat; it is the glare of a disappointed partner. He remembers that I refused to chase him earlier, too busy with websites and categories. He knows I failed him. And yet, I persist, explaining that art requires division of labor, that I was doing my part. He is not convinced.
